I am loving this series of images you're doing that capture just the highlights of the cats. I like it because it puts me in mind of sunlight on their fur like they're basking in the sun, which I think embodies a basic element of kitty nature. It also emphasizes the grace of form that cats have. Plus, it's just really pretty--you do an amazing job using it to convey a whole form where only key edges are actually outlined.
Haha, true. Our biggest cat bites when he's happy. It's genuine conflict in their case, though they're starting to get along a lot better. Especially when the vacuum is out, they gang up on it together.
Oooh. I hear you there. Our latest kitty cat, Oishii, caused quite an upset for our other male cat, Ixby. Ixby (a rather large cat at 17 lbs, not fat) spent a couple weeks beating up Oishii (half-grown kitten) whenever we weren't looking, to the point that we were afraid we were going to have to give him up. Thankfully, Ixby stopped beating him up so much, and at this point I think they are starting to get along all right. I wouldn't call them friends, though.
If I did print them for a calendar, it would have to be a VERY exclusive one. I'll consider the idea, but at this time I am working on getting my art into galleries, and if I produce very much in unlimited run then I am risking both alienating the galleries and competing with myself. There are a couple professional gallery owners whom I can ask next time I see either of them. It might be possible to produce a very limited collector edition calendar, but I'm not sure. I'll definitely announce it in my journal if I do produce something like that, be it this year or next.
Thanks so much for the support and interest in my art.
