I don't know if I'd go so far as to say "flawless", but thank you! It's a lovely thing to read.
I think Ozzie took me about 8-10 hours. The Best of Friends took about 40 (very rough approximation - I didn't keep track of time here and there over the last three months) It really depends upon the composition and size. Ozzie had much longer strokes and far less minute detail and shade layering, plus was overall a much smaller drawing in terms of paper space taken by pencil. It thus took correspondingly less time. Another dog drawing in my gallery, Malmute In Flowers, which is a WIP (I needed a long break from it), has taken somewhere around 60-80 hours so far, but it is much larger and in colored pencils, with a correspondingly greater number of pencil layers than I use for graphite.
wow, it really took a long time to make those. geez, i wish i have the talent and patience like yours. i love drawing but drawing didn't love me that much. lol. your pieces deserve a millions of +favs!
lol ... Sorry, I thought you meant you had a dog that looked like Ozzie!
I went over and looked a few of the photos just now. Very cute animals! I have two cats right now (rescued from the animal shelter), and am hopeful that my life will be such that I can have a dog in about a year. Animals are the best people!
